I think this research could be the most important innovation in crypto since 2008. I can understand their proposal and the design logic, but I’m not in a position to dissect the math of it. Regardless, I believe we as a community should support cutting edge research that could advance this project.
The author has pulled the AZ so this vote is more symbolic than anything. But if we were to approve a payout I would like to see it conditioned on some “expert” asking tough questions about the design in Github. Even if the design fails under scrutiny, I would support a payout.
I hope the community comes together and supports this applicant as a symbolic gesture.

The recent activity has certainly not gone unnoticed. I have reviewed the repository and its contents, and to the best of my ability to assess, it presents a well-structured and coherent source of information. It touches on nearly all architectural components of the Zenon Network and describes them at a high level.
The author clearly demonstrates a solid understanding of blockchain technology, although I am personally not in a position to fully verify the technical accuracy of all claims made.
I support and welcome this initiative and am particularly curious to see whether the original objectives of the repository will have a tangible impact and succeed in attracting new developers.
That said, one way or another, the foundation that HC1 is building will remain essential for creating a solid breeding ground for further collaboration. In that sense, I view this more as a welcome diversion from the necessary but often monotonous groundwork that must be done regardless.
For that reason, I will continue working on the tasks at hand, with the hope that additional developers will join in over time.
